David Locco is in love with beauty in its broadest and most emotional sense, without simply sticking to the aesthetic. For this reason, his jewelry gets firmly away from the blood-stained legacy of conventional diamonds.
This jewel is part of the collection “La Belleza y la Violencia” (Beauty and Violence) in collaboration with the artist Ernesto Artillo.
Its inspiration came from the war and social conflict in Sierra Leone. The extraction of natural diamonds and the shedding of innocent blood are the result of the greed of some and their determination to plunder the hidden treasures of the planet.
Our world, our home, the different beings living on planet Earth, the tears and wounds of the African people are the inspiration of this sterling silver piece that holds a heartfelt emotion.
